There are issues arising about refugees currently in the United States. The article, "For Refugees And Advocates, Trump Immigration Order Stay Leads To Disarray" by Deoborah Amos explains how Trump is addressing refugees. He is trying to ban refugees from entering the U.S. He has already banned 7 Muslim countries from entering the U.S. the reason for this is because he believes that they are dangerous terroist. States are trying to relocate refugees to different places.
Another article, "How Syrian Refugee Women Are Using Food to Fight President Trump" by Mahita Gajanan talks about how a Syrian woman is cooking to demonstrate that not all Syrian are dangerous. The issue here is that refugees are scared to be sent back to where they came from. The Syrian woman wants to show others that not all refugees are dangerous and that they are kind and loving. She does this by cooking dishes from her culture and expressing her culture to the world.
Trump wants refugees to go back to where they came from because he is scared of terroists. Not all Muslims are terroist. There are some who are kind like the Syrian woman in Mahita's article. She provides food to raise money for other refugees. She demonstrates that there are kind refugees in the world and not all refugees should be relocated back to where they came from.

I see the issue within the article, that Trump doesn't want refuges in the U.S anymore, he's putting fear into their lives with the thought of being deported. To conclude, this article states cleary that Trump doesn't want refuges coming to America because he thinks there terrorist and are doing damage to our country but in real life there coming here for a fresh start at a new life.
ReplyDeleteThe author is stating that Trump is banning 7 terrorist countries based on Trumps assumption that they are all terrorists. The author is contrasting this statement by giving an example of a Syrian woman who uses food to demonstrate that she and other Syrian refugees are not dangerous or a threat to the US.
