The two articles I read which surrounded the issues of refugees today were "Are refugees dangerous" by Tanvi Misra, and the article "For Refugees and advocates, Trump Immigration Order Stay leads to Disarray" by Deborah Amos. Both of these articles were selected randomly and both happen to have a negative opinion on Trump's attempts to limit refugees in the U.S. Amos brings her idea to the table that refugees are good for the country and jobs will be lost if refugees are not allowed in our country, saying that many people are responsible for meeting with these refugees. The people who are responsible for these refugees will not longer need to be working because there won't be refugees for them to meet with and guide. She backs up her claim with several people who are in favor of refugees and have dealt with it with first hand experience. Although Amos has some good points and evidence her claims just don't add up. What I mean by this is how would the amount of unemployed people go down if we have more people without adding additional jobs.
Misra goes about her writing by providing context on the issue. The facts and evidence produced by Misra are well developed and fully provide evidence for her claims. Her evidence shows a chart of the change in crime in certain cities as well as the amount of refugees in those same cities. She also provides a counter argument and says that only 2 refugees who were from countries on Trump's "ban" list have been arrested since the beginning of 2015. One area I think neglected by both of these articles are utilization of the history in our country. When put into context 2 terrorists may actually be a lot, seeing as the damage of 9/11 was primarily done by only 2 terrorists.
Both sides of controversy are either for or against Trump's ban on these selected countries. It seems as though public opinion is in favor for refugees but Trump may succeed with limiting them. Both articles display this and mainly speak from a perspective in opposition of Trump's idea.

The articles sound great! I liked how you discussed about articles that are with trump and are against him. That shows that you're opened to any opinion. The data that you included is great too. You were detailed about the graph and that's always great information to know where you are getting your data from.
